Statement of Faith
The Liberal Catholic Church of the Mystical Rose**
The Liberal Catholic Church of the Mystical Rose (LCCMR) embraces a living, evolving, and grace-filled faith rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, illuminated by the mystical wisdom of the ages, and open to all people without exception. We affirm that the Spirit continues to speak in every generation, inviting humanity into deeper love, justice, beauty, and transformation.
1. God Who Is Love
We believe in one Divine Reality—loving, creative, and ever-present—known by many names and encountered in countless ways. God is the Ground of Being, the Source of Life, and the Light that shines within all creation. We affirm that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
2. Christ the Eternal Word
We believe in Jesus Christ, the incarnate expression of Divine Love. His life, teachings, compassion, death, and resurrection reveal the path of liberation and union with God. Christ is a living presence, guiding, healing, and transforming all who seek the way of love.
3. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Sacred Breath moving throughout creation. The Spirit inspires wisdom, courage, creativity, and holiness, and leads the Church into deeper understanding, inclusivity, and renewal.
4. The Sacraments
We uphold the sacraments as outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace. Through them we encounter the mystery of God’s presence and are strengthened for life’s journey. All people who seek God’s grace are welcome to the sacraments of the LCCMR.
5. Scripture and Sacred Wisdom
We respect the Holy Scriptures as a profound witness to the Divine working in human history. We read them prayerfully, historically, and spiritually, guided by reason, conscience, and the Spirit. We also acknowledge that God’s wisdom is found in creation, in human experience, and in many sacred traditions.
6. Human Dignity and Inclusion
We affirm the inherent worth, dignity, and equality of every person. We celebrate the rich diversity of gender, sexuality, culture, ability, and experience. We proclaim that all people are beloved of God and fully welcome to participate in every aspect of the Church’s life and ministry.
7. Freedom of Conscience
We believe that faith is a living journey. The LCCMR encourages exploration, questioning, and spiritual growth. We honour each person’s right to seek truth freely and to follow the guidance of conscience illuminated by love.
8. The Communion of Saints
We believe in the unbroken spiritual fellowship between all souls—past, present, and future. We honour the saints, mystics, prophets, and holy ones who inspire us, and we walk in communion with all beings seeking peace and holiness.
9. Justice, Compassion, and Peace
We commit ourselves to the work of justice, mercy, and reconciliation. Inspired by Christ’s example, we seek to bring healing where there is hurt, hope where there is despair, and peace where there is conflict. We believe that every act of kindness participates in the building of God’s Kingdom.
10. The Mystical Rose
We embrace the symbol of the Mystical Rose as a sign of divine beauty unfolding within creation and within every soul. It calls us to contemplation, compassion, and the continual blossoming of love
